Registration will also be available on race day starting at 7:00am and on Friday from 11:00am to 7:00pm at Garry Gribbles Running Sports in Independence.

Teams:
Bragging rights are on the line, pull together a team and see how your organization can measure up to the competition. Teams can consist of 3-5 runners. Competition is based upon the combined times of the first three finishers from each team.
- Come up with a team name and decide who is on your team before you mail in your registrations
- When you fill out your registration form make sure you put your team name on it
- Race against all teams at the event and against others on your team
- Teachers vs. Administration
- Students vs. Teachers
- Fire Department vs. Police Department
- 4th Grade vs. 5th Grade
- Everyone runs as an individual but their time can also count towards a team.
Award and Prizes:
- $100 cash to the male runner that breaks the course recond
- $200 cash to the female runner that breaks the course record (Record wasnt broken last year)
- Overall First, Second and Third place prizes for 2011 have not yet been determined
- Awards for top three male and female finishers in five year age groups 20 to 80
- Awards for top three youth finshers in three age groups, 10 and under, 11-14, 15 - 19
- A T-Shirt for all participants
- Prizes will be raffled off during the later stages of the race
- Food and Drink at race end
Race Course & Site:
- The roads around the course will begin closing at 7:30a.m., get there early to avoid parking problems
- Parking is available at the Community of Christ Temple lot located one block west of Sunshine Center
- Race starts and finishes at Sunshine Center - 607 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64050
- Course is generally flat and makes a figure eight around the Independence Square and the Community of Christ Temple and Auditorium

* No course record prizes will be offered for an altered course or a cancelled event. Prizes for breaking the course record will be awarded at the discretion of the race director; in the case two men or two women break the course record only the winner will receive the cash prize.
