2008 Truman Run
MARA Grand Prix Event
The 15th annual Truman Run will again be a benefit for Nativity of Mary School in Independence. The Knights of Columbus and Cockerell & McIntosh Pediatrics have teamed up to make this year's race better than ever. There will be medals for the top three male and female finishers in each age group, music by Music Masters and plenty of food and drink from Nature's Pantry to help make this year's event truly special!
The 2008 Truman Run will be held on May 10, 2008 and will begin promptly at 8:00am. Get there early to avoid road closures around the course. You may park one block west of the start/finish line at the Community of Christ Temple parking lot.
In previous years the race was put on by and was a benefit for Sunshine Center, a school for the developmentally disabled. Sunshine Center has started a new race in July located in the Space Center underground facility in Independence. Check with Sunshine Center for more information about their new 5K.
